The BOEING 737-800NG arrived to the fleet of “Belavia“

On January 23, 2015 to the fleet of “Belavia – Belarusian Airlines” arrived an aircraft BOEING 737-800NG. The plane was bought by “Belavia – Belarusian Airlines” in operating leasing for 6 years according to the contract with the leasing company AERCAP PARTNERS I LIMITED. This is the first aircraft of this type in the fleet of the airlines. Planes of the line BOEING 737 NG (NextGeneration) are more economical and are able to operate flights for longer distances compared with the previous generation, to which belong planes BOEING 737-300,-500, already present in the fleet of “Belavia – Belarusian Airlines”.
The plane arrived to Minsk after maintenance operations before placement into service by “Belavia – Belarusian Airlines”.
Purchase of this aircraft will give opportunity to the airlines to develop transportations both on regular and charter directions. Economic efficiency of BOEING 737-800NG will allow reducing costs for transportations, which will benefit the reduction of price of flights.
This aircraft will be the most capacious in the fleet of the airlines. It is meant for transportation of 189 passengers in the economic service class.
Presence of the more capacious BOEING 737-800NG in the fleet will give to the airlines the opportunity to react promptly to the increase in demand for air transport services.
“We are planning to put into service our first BOEING 737-800NG in the next days. In 2014 we’ve conducted a great work in order to enlarge our aircraft park. The fleet of “Belavia – Belarusian Airlines” is now 5 aircrafts bigger compared with the year 2013, the airlines purchased also two new EMBRAER-195LR. We make maximum efforts for modernization of our aircraft park in order to ensure better comfort for passengers and reduction of prices for flights. Acquisition of this aircraft will allow to “Belavia – Belarusian Airlines” to open a new flight from Minsk to Almaty already in spring this year”, communicated General Director of JSC “Belavia – Belarusian Airlines” Anatoly Gusarov.
