Belavia has resumed regular flights between Minsk and Ufa

On June 24, Belavia Airlines resumed regular flights on the Minsk-Ufa-Minsk route. After a five-year break, the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan has reappeared in the route network of the Belarusian airline.
Ufa has become the ninth city in the Russian Federation to which Belavia operates regular flights. Today, the airline's route network in Russia also includes Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Kaliningrad, Moscow, Makhachkala, Murmansk, St. Petersburg and Sochi.
Flights on the Minsk-Ufa-Minsk route will be operated once a week, on Wednesdays.
The first flight was performed on a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, which replaced the Embraer 195 scheduled on the route due to increased demand. The load on board from Ufa was about 89%, and the majority of passengers were citizens of the Russian Federation.
The first flight from Minsk was greeted in a solemn atmosphere at Ufa International Airport. Among the passengers is a delegation led by Igor Cherginets, CEO of Belavia Airlines. The guests were welcomed by representatives of the local authorities, the airport and the creative team of the region.
"We have been working for a long time to ensure that this flight has a guaranteed load," said Belavia CEO at a meeting with reporters at Ufa airport. "We calculated that the destination would be beneficial to both the airline and passengers, the Republic of Bashkortostan and Belarus as a whole. The load on the nearest flights is very good, the summer season is a good time to start this project, I think it must be successful."
On the same day, the first flight from Ufa was solemnly welcomed at Minsk National Airport. According to aviation tradition, the aircraft was greeted with a water arch. A delegation of the Republic of Bashkortostan headed by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy of the Republic of Bashkortostan Rustam Muratov arrived in Minsk on board. Representatives of the republic will take part in the XII Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia, which will be held in Minsk on June 25-26, and will also hold a number of working meetings and negotiations. "We are growing in trade in many areas. There was a slight pause in air traffic, and on behalf of the head of the region, we did everything possible to resume it. We do not stop there, we are developing more than 70 areas, including the humanitarian component, social, cultural, and above all the economy," said Rustam Muratov.
It is noteworthy that 44 participants of the Bashkir Longevity program (a social project of Bashkortostan that provides special conditions for tourism for people of retirement age) arrived on the first flight from Ufa to Minsk. The resumption of direct flights between Minsk and Ufa will create additional opportunities for the development of business ties between Belarus and the Republic of Bashkortostan. Now we face a common task – to create permanent tourist flows. This requires continuous work with both potential tourists and travel companies.
