Belavia is planning to restart flights to the newest airport in the Moscow region
11 September 2026
On October 30, 2026, Belavia Airlines will begin operating regular flights to Zhukovsky International Airport (Moscow) after a six-year hiatus. This is a symbolic event for the Belarusian airline: Zhukovsky was opened 10 years ago, at the end of May, and on September 12, 2016, it was the regular Belavia Minsk-Moscow flight that became its first in history. Until the spring of 2020, flights were operated daily, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the program was suspended.
Now, with the resumption of flights, our planes will operate flights between Minsk and Zhukovsky daily.
The cost of tickets is from 177 BYN one way and from 329 BYN round trip (Light fare). You can buy a ticket on the website belavia.by, at agents and sales offices.
"We have been considering the possibility of resuming the flight program to Zhukovsky for quite a long time in order to provide passengers with more flight options on one of the most popular Minsk-Moscow-Minsk routes," said Igor Cherginets, Belavia's General Director. "This airport is actively used for travel to cities in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, to which Belavia doesn't fly directly yet. Flights to remote regions of Russia are also operated from here: for example, to the Khanty-Mansiysk Okrug. In addition, we expect that the route will be in demand by residents and visitors of the south-east of Moscow, its nearby cities (Ramenskoye, Lyubertsy and others), as well as neighboring regions. In particular, Ryazan and Vladimir. Thus, the upcoming opening of the flight will further strengthen transport, economic, and business ties between the capitals of Belarus and Russia.
"We are pleased to welcome Belavia Airlines to Zhukovsky once again. It is symbolic that the renewal of the partnership is associated with several anniversary events in 2026: the 10th anniversary of our airport and the first serviced flight, as well as the 30th anniversary of the airline itself. A lot has changed over the years: Belavia has come a long way, improving passenger services and developing its route network, and Zhukovsky Airport has almost completely transformed, becoming more beautiful, cozy and convenient for all categories of passengers. Only the general intentions remain unchanged: to provide passengers with ample opportunities for comfortable and safe travel," commented Alexander Senin, CEO of Zhukovsky Airport.

Infrastructural features of Zhukovsky:
- The reconstruction of the M5 Ural highway in the south-east of the Moscow Region, completed in 2024, has brought the airport's transport accessibility to a new level: there are no traffic lights along the entire route from Zhukovsky to Moscow, and it takes 20 minutes to get there.
- The air harbor has the longest runway in Europe (the total length is 5,400 m), which allows you to receive any type of aircraft without restrictions.
- Time saving: due to the compactness of the passenger terminal , the time required to complete all pre-flight formalities is reduced to 15 minutes, and literally 300 steps must be taken from the terminal entrance to the boarding gate. Passengers check in and check out faster, avoiding long queues.
