Belavia renews flights from Sheremetyevo

     Today, on the 22nd of April, Sheremetyevo International Airport has met the first flight Belavia-Belarusian Airlines. The Airlines has resumed regular flights along the route Minsk – Moscow (Sheremetyevo) – Minsk.
     Direct flights will be made daily, 2 times a day: in the mornings (arrival at 9:50 MSK, departure at 10:35 MSK) and in the evenings (arrival at 19:30 MSK, departure at 20:20 MSK). Belavia carries out flights by Embraer E-195 with 107 seating configuration: 11 seats in the business class cabin, and 96 in the economy class cabin. At Sheremetyevo Airport, passengers are serviced in Terminal F at arrival and in Terminal D at departure.
     During the media briefing devoted to the renewal of flights to Sheremetyevo, Ekaterina Radishevskaya, Chief Belavia Marketing and Foreign Economic Activities Department, noted, ‘When building the route network, we first of all think about our passengers’ comfort. The renewal of flights to Sheremetyevo Airport will enable the Airlines to not only satisfy the demand for direct flights between Minsk and Moscow, but also expand transit options for travel both from Moscow via Minsk by Belavia flights, and from Minsk via Moscow with further travel by multiple lines of our partners. We are sure that our cooperation with Sheremetyevo Airport will be long-term and productive, and our passengers will estimate new travel opportunities with Belavia.
     In turn, Denis Pashkovsky, Deputy CEO Commercial Activities JSC Sheremetyevo International Airport, emphasized: “We are glad to welcome the national carrier of friendly Belarus, Belavia, as the perspective reliable aviation partner. The route Moscow – Minsk is one of the most popular and fast-growing. With renewal of Belavia flights, the number of flights to Minsk from Sheremetyevo will increase from 42 to 56 times a week. Sheremetyevo Airport will provide the most comfortable conditions for operating activities and ensure the first-class service to passengers of the Airlines”.
     Passengers will be able to use the extensive Sheremetyevo route network for flights to the cities of China and the countries of Southeast Asia. Today, Sheremetyevo is the only European airport servicing eight leading Chinese airlines, and the largest transfer node connecting Europe to the Asia region. According to the statistics of the Airport, most of transfer passengers from Minsk make transfers at Sheremetyevo to flights to New York, Yekaterinburg, Shanghai, Beijing, and Guangzhou.
