“BELAVIA – BELARUSIAN AIRLINES” AND THE CITY ADMINISTRATION OF PALANGA SIGN AN AGREEMENT OF COOPERATION

The 5th of February, 2016 OJSC “Belavia – Belarusian Airlines” and the city administration of Palanga sign an agreement of cooperation.

In the summer of 2016, within the framework of signed agreement, “Belavia – Belarusian Airlines” launches a direct flight from Minsk to Palanga. The opening of the flight became possible not only by virtue of cooperation with the city leaders and the airport of Palanga, but as a result of partnership and assistance of the official representative office of the Informational tourism center of Palanga in Belarus – the company “Vokrug Sveta” during the negotiations.

“One of the most popular destinations for vacation of Belarusian people is Lithuania and, in particular, Palanga. We believe that tourists will like the direct flight from Minsk to Palanga. The tourist, who never visited Palanga or visited it many years ago, will be pleasantly surprised of how the resort changed and developing dynamically, and the direct flight will make it closer and available” – noticed the director of the company “Vokrug Sveta” Marina Kondrashova.

The flights will be performed on Sundays, from June 19 to September 4 2016, with the departure from Minsk – at 10.15, from Palanga – at 12.10 local time. The duration of the flight – 1 hour 10 minutes. The flights will be performed by the airplane Boeing 737-500.

“Focusing on desire and capability of passengers, we could offer destination for summer vacations at attractive rates. Thus, the price for the Minsk – Palanga flight, one way, will be, including all flight charges, from 55 euro, and for the turnaround – from 99 euro” – noticed deputy director general of OJSC “Belavia – Belarusian Airlines” Igor Cherginets.

 Palanga will be the second Lithuanian destination of the air company. The passengers, travelling from Palanga, can use connecting flights of the Belarusian carrier for flights to Kazakstan, Georgia, Russia and Ukraine at the national airport “Minsk”.
