The National Air Company Belavia has signed a Partnership Agreement to support 15-year old Belarusian tennis player Elena Golovneva

Subject to the Agreement, the National Air Company is to provide services for transporting the sportswoman and her coach Igor Golovnev to international tournaments as an applicant participant. In her turn, Elena will promote the Belavia brand at the international level.

Elena Golovneva is ranked second among the Belarusian sportspersons and is a top-rank tennis player among the sportswomen of Europe in the age category under 16 years. She is a repeat winner and finalist of many European and national tournaments (Czech Republic, Lithuania, Russia, Poland, Latvia, etc.).

Within the framework of the Agreement, the Belarusian girl participated in the European First Category Tournament for tennis players under 16 years of age - 8° TORNEO CITTA' DI MONTECATINI (Italy) – and the European Second Category Tournament for tennis players under 16 years of age - RIGA OPEN (Latvia). At the last tournament, the sportswoman won the first place in the doubles and the second place in the singles. From 23 July, Elena Golovneva has been participating as a member of the national team of the Republic of Belarus in the European Youth Olympic Games (Trabzon, Turkey).

“Support is provided to young sportsmen of such a level to participate in the international competitions. However, transportation expenses are to be borne by the sportswoman herself. Since Elena is one of the promising young sportswomen, we were happy to support the proposal of the Belarusian Tennis Federation to cooperate. Moreover, it is not the first experience for us to support participation of sportsmen in international tournaments”, Anatoly Gusarov, Director General of the National Air Company Belavia, said.

The National Air Company seeks to actively promote development of the Belarusian sport. Over the period of several years, partnership relations are maintained with the Presidential Sports Club and “Dynamo-Minsk” ice-hockey and football clubs.

Soon the contract is to be signed to transport the Belarusian Olympic Team to 2012 Olympic Games in London by scheduled flights of the National Air Company Belavia.
