Belavia launches a flight to Novosibirsk


On June 9, National Airline “Belavia” launched a new Minsk-Novosibirsk-Minsk flight, which has become the 39th flight; it has the longest operational endurance and the farthest destination in the airline’s route network.

The flights to Novosibirsk will be carried out two times a week in partnership with S7 Airlines Company by the Boeing 737aircraft. The flight frequency is going to be increased. The travelling time of the flight is 4 hours 40 minutes.

‘I am sure that our new passengers will highly appreciate the services and facilities provided by Belavia on international flights. For our airline a new route in the network means first of all the increase in the passenger traffic flow and freight volumes,’ – said Anatoliy Gusarov, the General Director of National Airline “Belavia”, Republic Unitary Enterprise.

The cooperation between the Belarusian airline and Tolmachevo Airport will allow to expand the flight connection between the two countries, as well as to increase the transit passenger flow through Minsk.
A lot of the first class passengers are the transit passengers flying through Minsk to Paris, Prague, Kaliningrad, Riga, Kiev.

‘The technical equipment and professional stuff training of Tolmachevo Airport provide the high quality service for the aircraft and passengers according to the regulations of departmental standards,’ – said Evgeny Yankilevich, the General Director of Tolmachevo Airport, JSC.

Nadezhda Alexandrovna was the first passenger of the Minsk-Novosibirsk flight and she received memorable gifts. The passengers of the first flight also took part in a lottery and Vladimir Luzhnev won the Silver Card of the Belavia Leader loyalty program.

Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport is the largest air hub east of the Urals located on key transit routes between Europe and Asia. The capacity on domestic flights is 1,800 passengers per hour, on international flights - 750 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways. According to the business plan in 2012 Tolmachevo Airport intends to serve 3,155 thousand passengers which is 14% higher than in 2011. It also plans to process more than 26 thousand tons of air cargo and mail (+28%).

National Airline “Belavia” is the largest airline company in the Republic of Belarus. Belavia is located in Minsk National Airport and carries out regular flights to 38 European and Asian airports. Belavia was created on March 5, 1996. On August 12, 1997 Belavia became a full member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), in 2010 it joined the European Regions Airline Association (ERAA). Belavia meets all the highest international safety standards. Following the IOSA - IATA Operational Safety Audit the airline company entered into the IATA register. The company owns 17 aircraft (six Boeing-737/500, four Boeing-737/300, four CRJ-100 / CRJ-200, tree Tu-154М).
