In August Belavia transported the millionth passenger

In August 2013, Belavia Belarusian Airlines transported 239,602 persons; this is 25.7 % more than for August last year. 158.2 tons of cargo and mail were transported, which also exceeds the last-year result for the same month by 24.9 %. Also, in August, the millionth landmark in the number of the passengers transported was overcome. On August 23, 9,571 passengers were transported that represents a record.
For eight months of 2013, 1,118,714 passengers were transported that is more than for the respective last-year period by 26.4 %. The volume of cargo and mail transported increased by 19.5 % and made up 1,287.1 tons.
Upon results of IOSA audit of Belavia Belarusian Airlines, International Air Transport Association (IATA) extended the validity period of IOSA certificate until 16.11.2015 that confirmed the status of the air company as corresponding to the requirements of IATA operational standards.

In August, the number of participants of ‘Belavia Leader’ program reached 20,000.
From August 22, 2013, the interline agreement with the Chinese Hainan Airlines came into force.
It was decided that from September 16, 2013 Belavia Belarusian Airlines would increase the frequency of own regular flights to Prague (Czechia) up to 7 times a week.
