About the denomination

On July 1, 2016 the denomination in the Republic of Belarus will be carried out in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus. A new currency unit will have the code BYN and will be equal to 10 000 of currency units of the production year 2000 (BYR). In accordance with the Decree, from 1.07.2016 through 31.12.2016 the cost of tickets on the website will be showed in two variants of currency: BYN and BYR. A payment will be made in BYN, the cost in currency in BYR – will be shown for information.

In accordance with the information provided by an acquirer bank, from 30.06.2016 night time, approximately from 23.15 Minsk time (20:15 UTC) to 06:00 (03:00 UTC) of 01.07.2016, the maintenance operation relating to the denomination and an interruption of payment acceptance with bank cards are planned and therefore the possibility of ticket reservation in the stated period will be missed on the website of the company “Belavia – Belarusian Airlines”. Also bank cards will not be accepted for payment with the booking offices of the airline company situated in the National airport “Minsk”.

In connection with the denomination, the possibility of ticket reservation with payment by using the single functioning settlement and information space will not be available on our website on 30.06.2016 from 00:00 Minsk time (21:00 UTC on 29.06.2016) till 06:00 (03:00 UTC) on 01.07.2016. The tickets booked on the website of the company “Belavia – Belarusian Airlines” till the end of the day on 29.06.2016 can be paid by using the single functioning settlement and information space till 20:00 on 30.06.2016.
