On February 7, 2017“Belavia” Airlines has officially summed up the work of the previous year and announced plans for the near future.
Thus, 2,488,078 passengers were carried in 2016, which is 19.1% more than in 2015. Such results became possible due to expansion of the geography of its own flights as well as due to increase of the frequency of existing regular flights. “Belavia” Airlines carries out its own regular flights on 49 routes to 27 countries of Europe, CIS and Asia. Also during the year, “Belavia” has continued to pay special attention to the development of transit transport through the National Airport “Minsk”. The share of transit passengers on regular flights was about 50%.
The loyalty program “Belavia Leader” actively developed in 2016. At the moment, the number of program participants is more than 70 000 passengers of OAO “Belavia” Airlines from more than 100 countries worldwide. In 2017 it would be more exciting to be a participant of “Belavia Leader” because two new partners will join the loyalty program. Thus, the program participants with a payment card Alfa-Bank can activate “Alpha Belavia”, thanks to which they will be able to collect points making everyday purchases by card. There is also an opportunity to get points for purchases in duty-free shops Helena & Valery in the National Airport “Minsk”.
In connection with the acquisition of new aircrafts, as well as with the development of the route network, the airline plans to hold another personnel recruitment for those who wish to join the ranks of “Belavia” flight squad in 2017. 2016 was marked by changes in the appearance of airline aircrafts, and the cornflower became a new symbol of “Belavia”. In 2017 the carrier will impress you with the change of the crews appearance. “Belavia” Airlines will offer young designers to take part in the development of uniform for flight attendants and flight crew. Everyone interested will be able to take part in the competition. Also passengers already have an opportunity to appreciate the changes in the flight catering. From the beginning of the new year a new on-board menu was introduced in the business and economy classes throughout all the directions of the airline flight maps. It is expected that a further update of menu will be made twice a year.
