The results of belavia promo campaign

On August 24, 2017 Belavia Airlines carried out an autumn sale for flights from October 15 to December 15, 2017. The campaign was carried out on the airline’s website www.belavia.by

The airline has sold more than 60,000 thousand seats one way to more than forty destinations at a special tariff of 30 euros including fees and charges.

Following the campaign results, 20,119 seats were purchased. The most active among passengers were people aged from 25 to 34 years, making 55% of buyers. Among the visitors of the website women accounted for the largest percentage of 61.6% during the campaign. According to the campaign results the top 5 directions traditionally are Prague - 1,923 seats, Amsterdam - 1560, Tbilisi - 1418, Paris - 1323, Rome - 1255.

On the day of conducting the campaign as many as 9,000 people searched for tickets on the website at the same time. The average figure at the usual time is about 300 visitors. The greatest percentage of passengers who purchased promo tickets are Belarusians. This figure was 75%.

“We are grateful to our customers for such an interest in the campaign. I would like to mention that the airline annually endeavors to reduce the cost of tickets. For the current year, the cost has decreased by an average 20%. The acquisition of new and economy aircrafts allows to reduce fuel costs and offer more favorable tariffs. Unfortunately, we, as airlines, can’t influence the formation of airport fees. Charges and fees are set by airports and are composed of fees for passenger services, governmental, immigration fees and security charges, depending on the route of the trip and the country of departure or arrival. As a rule, fees and charges for flights to the city’s main airport are much higher than for flights to the secondary airports, located at a significant distance from the destination,” - said General Director of JSC Belavia Airlines Anatoly Gusarov.
