Belavia-Belarusian Airlines started carrying out flights on the Minsk-Rostov-on-Don–Minsk route

     On April 28, 2018 Belavia-Belarusian Airlines carried out the first flight on the Minsk-Rostov-on-Don-Minsk route.
     Flights to Rostov-on-Don will be carried out on a regular basis 4 times a week with departure from Minsk at 11:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays and arriving at Rostov-on-Don International Airport the next day at 01:45 a.m. It is planned to carry out the return flight from Rostov-on-Don with departure at 3:15 a.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays with arrival at Minsk National Airport at 5:35 a.m. The time for all airports is local.
     “We expect that the opening of a direct flight between Minsk and Rostov-on-Don will primarily promote the economic growth of both cities and the development of cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation regions. In addition, we are confident that this flight will be popular during the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Thus, fans from Belarus and European countries will be able to comfortably reach Rostov-on-Don,” noted Director General of JSC Belavia-Belarusian Airlines Anatoly Gusarov.
     The flights are planned to be carried out on a comfortable Embraer 175 airliner with passenger capacity of 76 seats. Travel time takes about 2 hours and 20 minutes. Due to heavy load of the first flight (52 passengers from Minsk, 98 from Rostov-on-Don) the type of aircraft was replaced by a more capacious Embraer-195. Tickets are already available for sale. Rostov-on-Don Airport will become the ninth Russian airport in Belavia-Belarusian Airlines route network. At the moment the Belarusian carrier performs regular flights to such Russian airports as Moscow Domodedovo Airport, Moscow Region Zhukovsky Airport, Pulkovo International Airport (St. Petersburg), Krasnodar International Airport, Strigino International Airport, Sochi International Airport, Khrabrovo International Airport (Kaliningrad), Kazan International Airport.
