Free stopover provided by Belavia for transit passengers

Starting from the new year transit passengers of Belavia-Belarusian Airlines will be able to have a stopover in Minsk.
This option allows passengers flying through the Minsk National Airport to stay in the capital of the Republic of Belarus for the period from 24 to 72 hours. Transit passengers can add Belarus into their travel itinerary absolutely for free.
A stopover is available at one of the route sections when purchasing a round-trip ticket.
It is already possible to book a flight ticket with a stopover in Minsk at Belavia-Belarusian Airlines ticket offices, at the airline representative offices abroad, as well as via agents. Currently, we are working on introducing the opportunity to purchase this service on the website of the airline belavia.by.
“The number of transit passengers of Belavia-Belarusian Airlines is constantly growing and amounts to about 50%. We are trying to enhance the services in accordance with the wishes and needs of our clients. The new option will allow passengers to make their trip more eventful and get familiar with our country, without increasing the flight costs. We hope that the opportunity to visit an additional country during a scheduled flight will be in demand with transit passengers, especially given the fact that the Republic of Belarus provides the citizens of many states with visa-free regime. Foreign tourists will be able to make their trip more diverse with exploring Belarusian capital and the sights of Belarus”, said Anatoly Gusarov, Director General of Belavia-Belarusian Airlines.
Thanks to a stopover, passengers will not have to spend their time at the waiting hall until the next flight. Now foreigners will be able to visit Minsk, to be impressed by Minsk spacious avenues, rich history, to taste traditional Belarusian cuisine, to meet friends, to attend various events and to take a rest before the next flight without planning a separate trip to Belarus.

  •  Please pay attention that the service “stopover” is provided to passengers in accordance with Decree No. 8 dated January 9, 2017 “On the establishment of a visa-free procedure for entry and exit of foreign citizens”, as well as the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 63 dated January 19, 2006 year.
