Belavia carried its four millionth passenger for the first time in the year of work
On December 24, 2019 Belavia-Belarusian Airlines carried its four millionth passenger in a year for the first time in its history. Thus, at the moment, the airline served 20.2% more passengers than within the same period last year. The airline carried 3,386,113 passengers in 2018, Belavia carried its three millionth passenger in a year for the first time on December 30, 2017.
An increase in passenger flow was achieved mostly by the development of the route network. New flights to Tallinn, Moscow (Sheremetyevo Airport), and Munich were opened in 2019. Moreover, an increase in flight frequency and in the number of transit passengers traveling through Minsk National Airport contributed to an increase in passenger flow in 2019.
In addition, an increase in the number of airline customers was ensured by expanding the flight program from regional airports of the Republic of Belarus.
The promotions run by the airline, the implementation of a new concept of fare brands and other measures aimed at reducing the cost of air travel have contributed to an increase in passenger flow as well.
“Today we are pleased to welcome on board the four millionth passenger of our airline. This figure was achieved by the daily work of our employees aimed at continuous improvement of the level of service, introduction of new advanced technologies, fare reduction, aircraft fleet renewal, maintenance of a high level of safety and regularity of flights. We also try to support projects aimed at promoting Belarus abroad and attracting tourists to our country.
The airline is guided by the best world practices in its development and takes into account the wishes of its passengers. Today, the airline is preparing a pleasant surprise for the four millionth passenger”, summarized Anatoly Gusarov.
64-year-old Tatiana Dimirova living in Zhodino has become the four millionth passenger. Until retiring, Tatyana worked as a nurse. The passenger flies to Paris to visit her grandchildren and children several times a year. The representatives of Belavia-Belarusian Airlines presented the winner with a certificate for 100,000 points of Belavia Leader loyalty program.
