Belavia starts flights to Vienna

Belavia - Belarusian Airlines opens a regular flight Minsk-Vienna-Minsk on April 25, 2020.

“The opening of this flight will contribute to establishing and strengthening of trade, economic and cultural relations between Belarusian and Austrian partners, as well as in view of the current situation in the world, it will facilitate the return of citizens of both countries to their homes. The flight to Vienna is the first step towards the return to the usual way of life,” said Anatoly Gusarov, Director General of JSC Belavia-Belarusian Airlines.

Belavia - Belarusian Airlines plans to operate daily flights to Vienna Airport with a departure from Minsk at 8:50 a.m. (on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays) and at 2:25 p.m. (on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays). The return flight to Minsk National Airport will be at 10:45 a.m. (on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays) and at 4:15 p.m. (on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays).

The flights will be operated on a comfortable aircraft Embraer 175 with a capacity of 76 seats. Travel time will be about 2 hours.

When buying on the site: belavia.by, the cost of a one-way ticket starts from EUR 69 including taxes and fees; the cost of a round-trip ticket starts from EUR 146.

„The actual COVID-19 crisis has a very strong impact on the whole aviation and tourism industry all over the world. But like in other crisis in the past such as SARS, Ebola or 9/11 travel and aviation business came back stronger than before. So it may take some time but I´m optimistic that aviation business will recover and the new flight service form Belavia to Vienna marks a first step into that future”, explains Julian Jäger, Joint CEO and COO of Vienna Airport.

Please, note that passengers who have purchased tickets for Belavia flights on this route with a departure within the period of March 29, 2020 to April 24, 2020, can return their funds without deductions at the place of ticket purchase or once change the flight date to a new date until December 31, 2020.
