Belavia opens the new direction Minsk-Dubai-Minsk

From February 19, Belavia Belarusian Airlines starts performing regular direct flights on the route Minsk-Dubai-Minsk. The flights from the capital of Belarus will be performed twice a week on Tuesdays with the departure at 7:50 PM and with the arrival on Wednesday at 02:30 AM and on Fridays with the departure at 4:15 PM and with the arrival at 10:55 PM at Dubai International Airport (DXB). The return flights from Dubai are planned to perform on Wednesdays with the departure at 03:00 AM and with the arrival at -8:40 AM and on Fridays with the departure at 23:55 and with the arrival at Saturday at 5:05 AM at Minsk National Airport (MSQ). The time for all airports is local. 

The minimum cost of one-way air tickets is from 216 EUR (tariff LIGHT – without baggage), including taxes and fees, and from 375 EUR (tariff LIGHT – without baggage) is for round trip. The tickets are already on sale. More detailed information can be found on the official website of the Airlines belavia.by.

The passengers traveling to Dubai will fly on the new aircraft Embraer 195-E2. This type of the aircraft can cover long distances and carry 125 passengers in a two-class layout: 9 seats in the business class and 116 seats in the economy class. The fleet of Belavia was replenished with a new aircraft on December 23, 2020. The Airlines became the seventh in the world flying on the aircraft Embraer of the second generation. The delivery of two new aircraft of this type is expected in March and April. With the increase in passenger traffic, flights to Dubai can be performed on Boeing 737-800, designed for 189 passengers.

“The opening of a new destination after a difficult 2020 year is an important step for the Airlines. We can say that this is the gulp of fresh air and hope for an early resumption of regular flights on all routes of Belavia flight map”. The possibility of opening of regular flights to Dubai has been discussed for a long time but it has become real only now mostly due to the well-coordinated work of the team and of course due to the modernization of the fleet. We hope that Belarusian tour operators will prefer comfortable direct flights. We also expect that the direct flights will facilitate inbound tourism to Belarus and will contribute to an increase of the number of travelers from the UAE”, said Igor Cherginets, Deputy General Director for Marketing and Foreign Economic Affairs of Belavia. 

When checking in for the flight and upon arrival in Dubai, the passengers are to present a certificate with a negative PCR test result in English or Arabic, received no earlier than 72 hours before the flight. Upon arrival the passengers are required to present medical insurance for the entire period of stay in the UAE, covering the cost of treatment for coronavirus infection, and fill in a questionnaire of health condition. Some passengers may be asked to take a PCR test at the airport upon arrival in Dubai and stay on self-isolation till they get test results. All the passengers arriving in Dubai must install a mobile app COVID-19 – DXB Smart App.

Please, note that from January 16, 2021, the citizens of Belarus can enter, exit, and follow by transit through the territory of UAE as well as stay on the territory of UAE without a visa (no more than 90 days from the date of entry). The same conditions are applied to the citizens of UAE on the territory of Belarus. 

Dubai attracts tourists from all over the world not only with its warm climate but also with its sights: the Burj Khalifa skyscraper with a height of 828 m, the world’s largest singing fountain, and the Dubai mall, where you can find more than 1000 shops and establishments.
