A new General Director of Belavia Belarusian Airlines was appointed
Igor Nikolaevich Cherginets was appointed as the General Director of Belavia Belarusian Airlines. Previously, he held the position of Deputy General Director for Marketing and Foreign Economic Affairs. He replaced Anatoly Nikolaevich Gusarov in this post.
“First of all, I would like to note that all the traditions existing in Belavia will remain unchanged. They have been developed over the years and have been firmly established in the life of the company. Nevertheless, we will pay special attention to further digitalization and strive to implement modern world practices. We are planning to update the fleet with the aircraft of the latest generation Embraer 195-E2, and at present, we are preparing to purchase the up-dated Boeing 737-8. By the end of the current year, we plan to terminate the operation of Boeing Classic. Undoubtedly, the modernization of the air fleet will contribute to the expansion of the route network, the opening of new directions, and an increase in passenger traffic. I am also sure that for the effective operation of modern technology, it is necessary to pay special attention to the training of staff personnel, to the development of an aviation squadron, to an aviation technical base, to a flight attendant service, and to other services and departments”, said Igor Cherginets.
“Belavia will forever remain one of the most significant and warm stages in my life. We have been building the company together for 25 years: We have introduced new services, opened up new directions, modernized the fleet, helped people meet their loved ones and discover new countries, changed people’s lives. The personnel of Belavia are an example of the fact that there is nothing impossible in this world while having such a team nearby”, said Anatoly Gusarov.
