Belavia has opened a new direction in the flight network
Today Belavia Belarusian Airlines starts performing regular flights on the Minsk-Dubai-Minsk route. At present, it is possible to fly to Dubai twice a week with the flight from Minsk at 7:50 pm (on Tuesdays) and at 4:15 pm (on Fridays). The return flight from Dubai International Airport will be performed at 03:30 am (on Wednesdays) and at 11.55 pm (on Fridays). The time for all airports is local.
The cost of one-way air tickets starts from 216 euro (tariff LIGHT – without baggage), and from 375 euro for return tickets (tariff LIGHT – without baggage). More information on the schedule and tariffs can be found on the official website belavia.by.
The flights are planned to be performed on the aircraft of a new generation Embraer 195-E2 with a passenger capacity of 125 seats: 9 seats in the business class and 116 in the economy class. In connection with the high load on the first flight, the type of the aircraft was replaced by a more capacious Boeing 737-800, which is designed for 189 passengers and can provide maximum comfort during the long flight. The Minsk-Dubai route will become the longest route out of the entire network of regular flights of Belavia. The travel time is about 6 hours.
"Airlines puts high hopes on 2021. We are not only gradually restoring flights to regular routes that are familiar to passengers but also opening new ones. In 2020, despite all the difficulties, we started performing regular flights to Vienna and Tashkent, and today we are performing the first flight on a new regular direction to Dubai. We have seen the demand for this route among tour operators and passengers and worked on its opening. The additional impetus for a decision to be made on opening a new regular flight was the opportunity to fly from one country to another without a visa for citizens of Belarus and the UAE, which greatly simplifies the trip and makes it more attractive. The popularity of the new route among passengers is proved by almost 100% loading of the first flight Minsk-Dubai, and also that 100% of the air tickets were bought at the first large-scale campaign of the Airlines in 2021, held on February 16. We hope that the direct flights between Minsk and Dubai will facilitate the development of inbound tourism and draw together our cultures", pointed out Igor Cherginets, the general director of Belavia Belarusian Airlines.
From January 16, 2021, the citizens of Belarus can enter/ leave and transit through the territory of the United Arab Emirates, as well as stay on the territory of the UAE without a visa (no more than 90 days from the date of arrival). The same conditions are applied to UAE citizens in the territory of Belarus.
Pay your attention that there are entry restrictions in the UAE. While buying the air ticket it is recommended to read the rules of entry into the country.
