Personal account, scan of a passport, redesign. Belavia updated a mobile application

Belavia Belarusian Airline received an updated version of a Belavia mobile application. Now the service opens up new opportunities before Android and iOS users: authorization in a personal account and scan of a passport.

Thanks to this update, a passenger can log in to a personal account (if he/she has a password and login) and monitor the important for him/her information: balance on the “Belava Lider” loyalty programme account, booking status, future booked flights (if adding the number of a “Belavia Lider” participant to the booking), etc. Moreover, check-in for a flight and auto-saving of data are available for authorized passengers in the personal account. For example, a user will not have to fill in the fields with contact information: the necessary information will be in the list of saved for passengers to provide quick filing in the fields.

Such innovation as passport scanning allows to save time and reduce the risk of errors in comparison with the manual entry. Earlier, if a passenger was required to enter the data on his/her own, now they can upload a photo of the document or scan it with phone’s camera – the system reads all the necessary information.

Besides these options, the application received new outlook and design. The visual design on the iOS platform has changed almost completely, on Android – partially. The authors have worked on the visual for ease of perception, so that the users could be at ease in navigation.

In general, the developers have improved the “technical stuffing” of the applications: the changes will allow the service to work more productively.
