Confirmation of high standards: 25 years ago Belavia joined IATA
On August 12, 1997 Belavia became a member of the International Air Transport Association IATA. The company became a member of a prestigious association, one of the first in the CIS countries. And since then, for 25 years, the company constantly confirms high international standards in the sphere of provision of services to passengers and ensuring flight safety.
Belavia is a member of IATA along with the leading world companies (about 290 members in total). The membership in the association means that the airline adheres to international aviation standards and requirements, compliance of which is required to be constantly confirmed.
Throughout the entire period of its activity, ensuring flight safety is a priority of the airline. Since 2008, Belavia has been included in the IATA register and constantly confirms its status as the airline that meets operational safety standards (IOSA). The IOSA manual includes about 1000 requirements. The presence of a valid IOSA certificate is evidence of the fact that the airline uses the advanced international standards in the field of flight safety management.
In accordance with IATA recommendations, Belavia was one in the CIS countries to switch to e-ticketing technology. The modern technological level of the development of the airline is confirmed by the IATA NDC certificate of the level four (level 4).
“Belavia pays great attention to the implementation and maintenance of constantly updated IATA standards. Recently, however, EU sanctions restrictions made interaction between the company and the association more complicated. We believe, that the long-termed cooperation and strict adherence to IATA standards by Belavia will become the determining factor in building further communication”.
